Beginners Yoga: The Basics : If you want to try Yoga but don’t know where to start, this is the class for you! Learn basic yoga postures and breathing techniques in a relaxed and fun filled atmosphere. Learn to work with, rather than against, your body. Because we will show you how to modify postures to work best with your own body, this class is accessible to anyone regardless of your age, strength or flexibility. Yoga: Beyond the Basics : Do you know what Warrior I is or how to stand in Tree Pose? If you do, you are perfectly qualified for this class! We will teach you how to better listen to your body so you can use postures as tools to develop a strong, healthy body and a clear, calm mind. Movements are slow and attentive and we will help you with posture modifications that will work best with your body. This class is accessible to anyone regardless of your age, strength or flexibility. Familiarity with yoga postures is suggested but not required. Traditional Yoga: Integrated Amrit Method : Do you love yoga? Come experience Traditional Yoga with us. Learn how to use the postures to not only improve your physical well being but also how to use them as an entry point to meditation called meditation in motion. Developing the skill of meditation in motion can help you maintain a great sense of ease both on and off the mat. This class uses the full Amrit Yoga posture sequence, your teacher will help with adjustments as needed, and teaches the concepts of following prana and micro-movements. This class is accessible to anyone regardless of your age, strength or flexibility. Previous yoga experience recommended but not required. Gentle Yoga: A Restful Approach to Yoga : Have you ever had a day that left you feeling tired and stressed-out? If you have, and who hasn’t, then Gentle Yoga is just what you need! This class starts with a long, gentle warm-up followed by soothing stretches and awareness of the body which create a relaxed, meditative state. The teacher will then guide you into very gentle, modified versions of traditional yoga postures to help deepen your relaxation. Gentle Yoga classes are often punctuated with laughter. This class was originally designed to help cancer patients improve their physical well being and relieve the tremendous stresses they face and is now available to you! Perfect for those who suffer stress or chronic health conditions or physical limitations. This class is accessible to everyone! Previous yoga experience not required. Class is 60 minutes, bring your mat or borrow one at the studio. Bringing a light blanket is also recommended.
Prenatal Yoga : Pregnancy places great demands on a woman’s body. Hormone changes that affect emotions. Physical changes that alter coordination and balance. Not to mention the excitement and uncertainty that come with expecting a new baby. Prenatal Yoga is designed to help yourself stay happily connected with your ever changing body and maintain a sense of calm and ease amid unpredictable emotions. Wednesday 10:00 am.
Our insurance requires that all students have a liability waiver on file with us. You may either complete one at the studio before your first class or you may print out a copy and bring it with you to your first class.
